Revolut Expands Tap to Pay on iPhone to Germany and Romania via Revolut Pro

Global financial super app Revolut has announced that users in Germany and Romania can now utilize Tap to Pay on iPhone through Revolut Pro. This initiative enables all businesses, including freelancers, to accept contactless payments via iPhone and Revolut Pro, providing a seamless and efficient experience.

With Tap to Pay on iPhone, businesses can accept payments from physical debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets without requiring any additional hardware. At the time of this announcement, Revolut has already introduced Tap to Pay on iPhone in eight countries, including France, the UK, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, and Austria. The company also mentioned plans for further expansion to meet customer needs and preferences.

Revolut Expands Services in Ukraine

A few days before this announcement, Revolut officially launched its services in Ukraine following a testing phase. Additionally, the company introduced a special edition Clear Sky Debit Card, designed by its Ukrainian team. This card features the blue and yellow colors of the Ukrainian flag, symbolizing hope for a clear and safe sky over Ukraine.

Since 2022, Revolut has supported Ukraine by offering free services to refugees, temporarily waiving the usual requirement for European residency proof. Furthermore, customers can access standard accounts for free, enabling them to send and receive funds as well as exchange currencies.

For businesses in Germany and Romania, using Tap to Pay on iPhone through Revolut Pro offers a streamlined solution for accepting contactless payments, regardless of business size. The service simplifies transactions and provides an alternative to traditional payment methods.

Tap to Pay on iPhone utilizes the device’s built-in capabilities, ensuring data privacy and security for businesses and customers. Apple does not store card numbers or transaction details on the device or its servers after payments are processed.

Easy Activation Process

Existing Revolut Pro customers in Germany and Romania can activate Tap to Pay on iPhone directly from the app. New users need to download the Revolut app from the App Store, create an account, and set up the feature to start accepting contactless payments.
